Hey guys, just want to inform that the holidays has officially started well, a week ago. I'm suppose to get a job but I think I'll be a happy slacker just for a wee bit longer.

Anyway, thanks for the contribution on the great places of Singapore, I'll be sure to visit them once I figure out where its exactly is. Haha.

Something has been bothering me, since I actually bothered to catch a glimpse on the second season of Singapore Idol. It dawned to me that this time round, some may say as a whole, the group that advances are lacking compared to the previous season. Some'll say that its just that the singers can sing, barely, but at least everyone are to a certain standard. Whatever opinion everyone has, to each their own. Though there is this tiny wee bit that is bothering me. Okay make it alot, but I think its getting out of hand as to how some, okay particularly one, singer, could have stayed for so long in the competition even with his lack of singing talents. He is none other than, Joakim Gomez.

Not trying to diss him or anything, and not saying I'm trying to destroy his future but in this competition, him staying means that one more singer, who are much better and capable than him will miss the opportunity to stardom. Why am I saying this? Thats because I feel that even the judges feels that he does not deserve to stay in this competition but are quickly overruled by this, voting system that is, rather rigged. Even Ken himself kept on repeating to voters to vote properly and vote wisely, somehow indicating that they have made the wrong choice to keep Joakim in.

Whatever redeeming points Joakim has, I believe that this competition needs to get back to its roots and remind themself of the whole objective of the show, which is an Idol where everyone believes that he deserve such a title. And with that, is just my 2 cents on the whole issue.

Another post which was actually meant for two days ago. Got delayed cause on Monday, someone was using my laptop the whole day. Tuesdae, I was at Rauff's the whole day. So I only got time today to write about an issue which is 2 daes late. Sorry bout that.

I was wondering that even if Singapore is such a small country with not so much of a thing to look forward to. Though, something made me realise that it doesn't matter whether its a big country or a small one, its a matter of how you can really find a great spot which somehow stands out from the rest. For example, a magnificent view of the whole city or a great position to look at the vast ocean to name a few. So I was really wondering where do you guys actually go in Singapore which you think is breathtaking?

Hopefully someone would actually chip in some places which you feel fits the above criteria.

Another update from me I guess. I've told myself NOT to write about my life here because that'll bore the shit out of you guys. Haha. But can you guys give me an exception for this one?

To tell you the truth, I'm kind of okay with tomorrow's paper. Got a lot more to go but I'm confident on this one. Weird. Ok nuff bout that.

It kinda got me thinking, there are only selective people who will truly appreciate romance shows. Some will deny that they actually like to watch them cause they're very far from the real issues. Since the fact that its all so scripted and acted out by great actors to fully potray the whole scene, guess does gave the whole feeling away once you analyse it in such a way. Though, the most important thing I'd like to point on is the fact that, if someone actually bothers to act out such a story, its definitely the ideal way of life that the writer would actually walk upon. Ideally, if things were at the right circumstances and at the right time, lives could have walk upon such a storyline. Yet, we all know that our lives will never be that way, cause we kind of choose not to believe such a fairy tale life to be real. Or, we can choose to believe it just for the simple pleasure of believing it.

And thats the real wonder, somehow I came to realise that we tend to always deny the good things in life, saying its too good to be true but is that a reason for us to stop looking? Guess most of us tend to always aim for the so-so, cause we're so used to feeling failures. Admit it, we know that out of 10 times we try, usually 2 or 3 will come out right. Right? Though how come we brood on the 7 times we fail, but not cherish the 2 to 3 times we succeed? Thats why I guess that is why alot of us aren't happy. We tend to not look at the bright side of life and brood on the occassions we have failed.

So what happens about the romance thing? I cherish such storyline, cause it goes to shows that people still dream of such ideal life. And thats the thing that reliefs me.

Just posting another one today, I WAS intending to post something meaningful but it kinda slipped my mind on the way back home. Note to self: Write it down somewhere on a notebook so that I won't forget what it is.

Oh yeah, before I forget, the song currently running on the background was well, from Hadhinah's blog. I DID not just copy and paste. I downloaded the song from her song host, hosted on my own, THEN host it on my blog. Credit to Hadhinah and Switchfoot for this wonderful song. Off from the original soundtrack album for A Walk to Remember. So go get them if you fancy them. Haha.

Sometimes, I just feel that we're taking life a little too seriously. Was watching this video about a guy who is always so serious, well it was a parody though but it was a great depiction about how serious, too serious sometimes about our life. The fact that life is just an empty paper that needs to be filled with achievements and wealth, alot fail to include things like memories or happiness. We're all know too well and aware that with no wealth comes no happiness and thats the sad truth about the world, considering the ever growing increase in daily cost. Though, sometimes, its not that the world has become more expensive, its our lifestyle that has become more expensive. To list some:

Back then, handphones weren't available. With the introduction and ready available of such services, now handphone bills are a part of our daily lives.
Internet was unknown. Now its the most important thing. Put that in the bill.
Computers are used extensively. Put that to electricity bills.
Are we usually awake till 11 last time? Put that to electricity bills for the lights and television
We eat extravagantly these days. Remember the old 1 dollar chicken rice from secondary school?

Thats why, I've come to realise that we're growing ever expensive as we grow up and ultimately we can't avoid it. Its either we start cutting short on these things, earn more or well a balance of both maybe.

Well there goes my short analysis of our ever growing, ever expensive lifestyle. So I'm sure gonna start cutting short on these things. Trying to save up on electricity bill by shutting off lights and shutting down my computers. Gonna be switching to prepaid soon so that'll help cut down my handphone bills. Last but not least, I'll be eating sparingly and eating more at home.

Guess I should at least get this rusty old blog back up and running. Been on a very, very long hiatus due to alot of things. Wasn't I missing for like the whole semester? I guess? I'll leave it to you guys to decide.

Before we start things off, firstly I'd like to apologise to my blog for leaving it stagnant and not being well informed of my life. Secondly, I'd like to renew this whole blog by having a new blog layout. Special thanx to the person who made this layout, whether they even visit my blog or not but thought I'd do this lil bit nonetheless.

Guess another semester is coming to an end, alot of turmoil has been going through my life. Alot of loose ends that needs to be tied up. Once this semester is once done and over, I'll officially be needing the whole month to reflect on what I have done and what needs to be done. Therefore, I've done this nice little list here for you guys who bothers to read, to well, read. Haha.

Get a part time job to pay off alot of my debts which is accumulating. Note to self: Start saving up, cause the world is becoming more expensive.
Enquire from Chris to ask his friend, X about how to appeal back into the school
Pay off my debt to my mum. Yes, my mum.
Muster up enough courage to tell my parents I've been kicked out if the appeal didn't go through.

Guess right after point no. 4, we'll see how it goes.

Certainly, with this blog is a start of a new page in my life. Hopefully.
