I was reading this article on the newspaper. It was regarding the muslim population in the US state, where a more pious faction of the Islamic community complained that an establishment which initially served them privacy has opted to allow a co-ed environment. This means that, the establishment are initially women only on certain days, but is changed to allow men as well. Ok fine, so what is the whole issue here?

The article continues on saying the so called establishment, which is a gym for your information has created a wall to allow more privacy for women from the prying eyes of men exercising as well. Mixed opinions sprouted from there such as bloggers saying the gym has 'caved' in to the 'extremists' as they so nicely phrased and from another saying private businesses should not be 'coerced' by a minority.

There, that is the thing that is bothering me. Firstly, just because someone requested for privacy which was promised to them, when they first visited the gym as it being a women only on certain days and successfully got it, the whole gym has caved into the demands of 'extremists' as they so thoughtfully labelled them as. I believe the word extremists is a very harsh word to use for people who just wished to be religious but what irks me is that they have been betrayed the privacy that they sought after by going to the women only on some day gym. Though, I believe that people will say just go to another gym then, then I believe that these 'extremists' are being thoughtful to at least try to request for a wall rather than leave the gym, incurring loss to the gym.

I mean come on, you thought that place was THE place where you can get your privacy, but it changed its policy. You being thoughtful just requested there being a wall to give a tad of privacy. Due to these such actions, people concludes that the gym has CAVED into the EXTREMIST.

Secondly, what is with everyone saying they're the minority, we shouldn't be forced or threaten by them, such the exact definiton of COERCED. I can't believe these kind of mentality still exists in the modern world. Ok fine, its evident but ideally they are a disgraceful way of thinking. What happen to everyone living together happily by compromising to each other's need?

This is just my two cents worth of opinion on the whole issue.
