Kept on hearing 'the river' off Sazali's blog. Somehow listening to Good Charlotte reminded me on a post I was meaning to actually type out.

Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Linkin Park and Blink 182. Call me lame, call me punk rocker or anything but I won't deny I lived through my teenage days listening to them. You idiots at the back don't snigger, if you're not listening to them, you're either a metal dude or into CantonPop. Those bands kept on hounding the airwaves whenever you on the radio back when we stepped foot onto the new millenium. Pop ballad was diminishing and came in punk rock or any other rock genres out there. Though thats now that I'm gonna talk about.

I just realised that following such bands and hearing them saying that they're disbanding kind of shocks you. The first thing that comes to your mind is that there's inner squabbling between band mates but turns out, they wanted to move on to a new direction in life. Some bands said its been already past a decade together, and that got me thinking how fast the time simply passed. Linkin Park and Sum 41 are disbanding soon. Blink 182 broke up, due to Tom Delonge. Good Charlotte, I don't think mature really defines what they are now. More like they sound ok now.

Linkin Park new single 'What I've Done' sounds extremely different from the songs they made in Meteora. 'QWERTY', another single from Linkin Park makes them sound like Atreyu with Chester growling the whole way. Sum 41 is still silent about they're new upcoming album. Sum 41 lead singer's fiancee 'Avril Lavigne' degraded, deteriorated into pop disgusting bimbo with her new single. Ugh. Good Charlotte 'The River' was pleasant to hear with M.Shadows and Synyster Gates making the song a tad bearable. The guest performer playing for 'The River' couldn't really save the song.

Though thats about it, been listening to Indie lately. Needed some getting use to, though I'll never transform into an Indie freak anytime soon. Never will, trust me.
